Making your own muesli is super easy and only takes about 15 minutes of your time. You can make a big batch to last you a couple of weeks and use it as cereal, a topping for smoothies, fruit salad or yoghurt or with some Chia Puddingor Cashew Cream. Not only will you take out any mystery ingredients that may be lurking in your store-bought varieties, you can tailor it to your own tastebuds – no more picking out the sultanas or pumpkin seeds! Below is the recipe I have used this week, but I change it up depending on what’s in my cupboard and what I feel like on the day. Feel free to sub in your favourites!
PS you can activate the nuts if you like. Soak them for 2 hours or overnight before rinsing. Dry them in the oven on the lowest setting (leave door ajar if your oven temp doesn’t go very low) for 10-12 hours.
